This does not create slo-mo because the video plays back at 50 fps, yielding the same movement as playing 25 fps video in a 25 fps project. And, most of the time, I suggest you not worry about it, because, most of the time, it will look fine.

If the seperate sound was recorded at a different frame rate to what the video is in – it can cause issues. It may or may not work, I don’t have FCP in front of me, and have never shot 30fps in my life.
I guess my question is if I shoot it at 60fps, do I always have to use it at 24fps if my project is at 24fps? People have told me it will look jerky and bad because frames will be deleted. This results in jerky playback. Optical flow seeks to do just that, invent new frames.

Maybe 24ffps have to do something else? If there was no issue here, then shooting in 30fps or fps technically shouldn’t have made any difference. This is the same process they used on Act of Valor, which wdobe shot 30p and then released as a motion picture at 24p. The only film format using 18 fps was Super 8, which with its increased negative size caused it to be significantly superior to regular 8 silent film.
